Appellations such as Irancy, Saint-Bris, Coulanges-la-Vineuse, Bourgogne Epineuil are rich in varieties (Aligot\u00e9, Sauvignon Blanc, C\u00e9sar, Melon de Bourgogne). These terroirs have similar soils to Chablis and they produce wines of character and finesse.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Caves de Bailly-Lapierre (Bailly)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Domaine du Clos du Roi (Coulanges-la-Vineuse)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Domaine Goisot (Saint-Bris le Vineux)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Domaine Felix &amp; Fils (Saint-Bris le Vineux)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Maison Simmonet-Febvre (Chablis)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"chapeau\">In V\u00e9zelay,<\/span> vine and wine culture dates back to Antiquity. The remains of a Bacchus temple were discovered under the Saint-Etienne church, only a few yards from our shops.<\/p>\n<p>Until the phylloxera epidemic of the 19<sup>th<\/sup> century, the wine from V\u00e9zelay supplied Paris. The rebirth of the vine started in the 1970s. Whites received the AOC \u201cBourgogne\u201d in 1985 and \u201cBourgogne V\u00e9zelay\u201d in 1996.<\/p>\n<p>The 47-hectare vineyards are planted primarily with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The wines are lively and on the light side but with a pronounced minerality.
